Tenets of Faith
Life was born to be free. Break the chains of slavery and subjugation and punish those who take away freedoms of others.
Every man a king. Empower yourself and others to steer the course of their own lives. Those who abide the law for its own sake are merely a different breed of slave.
Blame not the storm for the ruin it brings. Hold no grudges and learn to forgive. Life is best lived in the moment and for the future - never beneath the chains of the past.
Channel the Beasts of the Deep. Protect the ocean, nurture the beasts that dwell within it, and keep it safe from those who would seek to control it or leash its untamed fury.
Embody the Changing Destruction. Change and Destruction are life's only constants - bring both to the world and tear down what is to make way for what will be. What endures will only emerge all the stronger as a result.

History
Born from the sacrifice of the long-dead third Primordial God, the twin Oceanic Deities were born from the original Ocean God as Husband and Wife, two beings that embodied the two-faced nature of the ocean and its patterns. As Husband and Wife do, they often fight between each other thanks to their conflicting natures, and though Leviathan often disobeys his wife and causes her trouble with his disregard for rules or laws, she loves him through it all and the two stay in a constant balance of love tempered with just a bit of friction.
Relationship Reasoning
Being the twin representations of the ocean and its contradictions and often dualistic nature, Leviathan and his wife Sturgeon are yin and yang...opposites that each represent the natures of the ocean as seen by primitive life long ago...one is chaotic and wild and destructive, and the other caring, gentle, and protective...and though they are opposites it is perhaps because of their opposition that they love each other so. Leviathan is chaotic and destroys freely, tempered by his wife's calmness and soothing nature. Likewise, Sturgeon's forgiveness and gentleness is sharpened and honed by Leviathan's wrath and destructive might which mercilessly destroys and frees all shackled or enslaved. In this way, they are eternally at odds with each other, doomed to never truly exist at the same time, but are similarly bound to each other, in love, and work towards the same goals.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Both husband and wife share a great love for the sea and those who travel upon it, as well as keeping it and all life that dwells within or on it safe from those who would exploit or use it for nefarious ends.
Divine Boons
- Shocking grasp 3/day, Knock 2/day, or Lightning Bolt 1/day
- You can create an elemental aura as a free action. When you first gain this ability, choose acid, cold, electricity, or fire—once you make this selection, it can’t be changed. When you generate the elemental aura, you are surrounded by the element you chose. Anyone striking you with a melee weapon or natural attack takes 2d6 points of damage of the chosen type, plus 1 point for every 2 Hit Dice you possess (maximum 2d6+10). This aura lasts for 1 round for every Hit Die you possess. The rounds in which you manifest your elemental aura don’t need to be consecutive. You can dismiss the aura as a free action.
- Once per day as a standard action, you can cast summon monster VII to summon a greater elemental of a type you choose. You gain telepathic communication with the elemental to a range of 100 feet, and the elemental obeys your commands perfectly.
Roar! Rush! Rampage! Life was born free of burden or shackles, and so it should remain! Rain down destruction impartially, so that the new might rise from the rubble!
