Ninetail Academy
The foremost center for magical learning in the Eastern Imperium
Description
The massive magical academy located in Kitsunheim, capital of The Eastern Imperium that serves as the absolute hub of all Magical Knowledge in the entire country, and the foremost place where young citizens of all kinds go to learn about magic, mathematics, language, and more. It serves as the highest institute for public learning in the The Eastern Imperium, and is where magically-adept and other promising children are sent(Regardless of Social Class. If they wield magic, they are considered touched by Tamamo). Its massive facilities are capable of supporting the learning processes of year-old children all the way up to full-blown adults studying there into their 'college years'. It generally remains staunchly uninvolved in Political Struggles, and much like The Ninefold Tribunal and The Azure Spire, the politics of The Eastern Imperium are forbidden on its grounds. All tomes, scrolls, books, and the like possessed by the Academy were either given to them by their patrons in TThe Azure Spire or were all donated by citizens, nobles, and even Tamamo-No-Mae herself, though plenty have been bought by the teachers or the Headmaster/Headmistress. The more secret or powerful tomes/books/scrolls/etc are not allowed to remain in the Academy, and are generally kept within the protected walls of The Azure Spire. As a state-sponsored organization, the Academy is overseen and managed by The Azure Spire, the foremost Magical College in the country, and policed by the Military, as the Academy and those who study there are considered assets of the nation. Sorcerers are given especially great treatment here, as they are considered living conduits of Tamamo's Sorcererous might...It is also one of the very few places in the Imperium where spells are not forbidden from being cast without a license, though they are regulated by the staff. The Students here get "Provisional Licenses" for magic casting so long as they remain students with the understanding that misuse of magic and the license will lead to punishment and expulsion, while the Teachers here must have Licenses to be hired.Structure
Ninetail academy is lead by a headmaster or headmistress appointed to their position by The Azure Spire, the governing organization for Ninetail Academy which serves as the center where all mages and arcane casters of all kinds go in the east to further their craft in adulthood. Beneath them are a myriad of teachers and instructors who teach various classes on Magic and The Arcane at the Academy, and beneath them, the rest of the faculty who helps keep the Academy running smoothly by teaching the rest of the more mundane subjects the Academy offers, as well as those faculty who serve as janitorial staff and other similar roles. Finally, the students sit below them all learning from the teachers and obeying the faculty.
Public Agenda
The agenda of Ninetail Academy is to recruit, teach, train, and foster the next generation of Eastern Casters and Arcane Scholars, as well as to educate its students on the nature of Magic and to a lesser degree, a vast array of intellectual subjects such as politics, history, mathematics, language, and more so as to impart knowledge and power onto the next generation who will one day grow up to lead The Imperium.
Assets
The Ninetail Academy has its main campus set within the walls of The Eastern Imperium's capital of Kitsunheim, and as it is sponsored and overseen by The Azure Spire, it's assets are generous and vast...it has satellite campuses in most major cities in The Noble Lands and recently opened a few in The Ursidae Dynasties, though these are much smaller and inferior to the northern ones. They are given the best magical equipment all that they need to teach and perform their duties by The Azure Spire and by donations from various Noble Families of The Eastern Imperium.
Eternal strength of the East.
