The Northernmost Vassal Country of the Imperium

Structure
See The Eastern Imperium for info on the organizational, societal, and noble structure of the country.
Disbandment
Alongside The Ursidae Dynasties and The Matriarchy of Malhara, the Noble Lands were dissolved and folded into the "new country" when The Eastern Imperium was itself dissolved and reformed into the unified and restructured government of The Inaran Imperium.
Each of the Imperium's old "vassal states" were dissolved and their resources folded into the newly reborn Inaran Imperium, while their governments and leaders were brought into the existing structure of the provinces which now formed the core of the new Imperium's land system.
Demography and Population
A Majority of the population in the Noble Lands are, true to its name, nobility and those of high class or birth. Nobility and the dozens of Noble Houses that form the core of the The Eastern Imperium's complex political system reside here across the land, with nearly 70% of all residents of the Noble Lands being nobility or members of a noble house.
Birth rates here are low thanks to the desire of the Nobility to "protect" their lineage by not wantonly siring children and diluting the house they belong to...likewise, the death rates are relatively low thanks to the extreme comforts and conditions the Nobility enjoy thanks to their immense wealth...even for the commoners, merchants, or citizens lucky enough to live in The Noble Lands enjoy a more comfortable existence thanks to the high wealth and protection afforded to those who serve a noble house.
The Population here is mostly focused in the cities and the rare village scattered around the country, as the brutally cold environment is extremely prohibitive to any but the hardiest creatures who wish to eke out a living in the frozen tundra that typifies the Noble Lands. Some Noble Houses have their main house compounds located out on the Tundra and beyond the walls of the cities, but only the monstrous or hardy houses dare to do such a thing.
Territories
The Territory held by the noble lands are mostly frozen, blasted tundras and brutal ice-covered landscapes where only the hardiest beings can survive. In ages past these lands were said to serve as the home for the many ruling tribes of the ancient Imperium, with a majority of them said to have been Ursini tribes that were the largest and most powerful Empires of the Pre-Imperium Era. With the founding of the Imperium these territories were conquered and assimilated into the new country's holdings...the lands were ripped from Ursini control and handed over to the nobles that Tamamo deemed worthy of the honor. Now, these lands have all but forgotten their ancient tribal masters and now are home to the countless Nobles and more elite residents that call the Imperium home.
Many ancestral lands are located in the Noble Lands, from the Jotungrove in the North to the Whitebough Timberwood in the south, to the Dreaming Wood to the far Northeast and the Uttercold Expanse in the center of the country...many lands are sacred to the residents of the Imperium here, and all have been completely assimilated into Tamamo's Imperium.
Military
The Noble Lands does not maintain a large military force, and though they possess a truly impressive navy, they rely on the Ursidae Dynasties to the South for much of their militaristic power. Many Noble houses here have military might, but overall the Country is dwarfed by their southern neighbors in might.
Technological Level
The Imperium, and the Noble Lands by extension as the seat for all cultural and scientific progress, has made many strides in many technological, scientific, and cultural fields...they have discovered printing presses, paper money, banks, a complex and layered political system, and are magic great strides in binding and making laws for all aspects of life once though untamable, like magic or divine power.
Also highly advanced in terms of medicine and treatment for diseases, poisons, infections and otherwise, the Imperium is a highly advanced nation...though ironically, they are lack quite a bit far behind the west in terms of military technology, instead preferring to focus on Infrastructure and other innovations in other areas.
Religion
While the main religion of the Imperium is the worship of their Kitsune Queen Tamamo-No-Mae, the Imperium allows other religions within its borders...though only those on a list of "approved" religions, with all others being outlawed and illegal.
Foreign Relations
Being one of the two main Vassal Countries of the Imperium as well as the main seat of governmental authority in the Imperium, the Noble Lands has extremely good and basically perfect relations with the larger Imperium due to its position as the main home for Tamamo-No-Mae, The Kitsune Queen herself as well as the Kitsune Council, police forces, and countless other crucial governing bodies.
The Noble Lands has a prickly relation with the Ursidae Dynasties to the south, despite the Dynasties being the other and arguably larger Vassal Country of the Imperium. As the Noble Lands are home to the nobility and the Dynasties to the commoners, soldiers, and everyday folk that form the bulk of the Imperium's population, the two Vassal Countries get along well enough thanks to their shared servitude to Tamamo-No-Mae, The Kitsune Queen but often bicker and quarrel amongst each other due to the vastly different economic statuses of most of their citizens.
Agriculture & Industry
As the Noble Lands is mostly a frigid hellscape where only the harshest of life can grow, there is little in the way of agriculture that can take place there. Instead, the Noble Lands is a Industrial Powerhouse, and has countless forges, refineries, and smelters and factories where the vast mineral wealth produced from the famously rich and extensive mines of the Noble Lands and the even more rich mines of the Dynasties are refined, smelted, and produced into a myriad of items. The Noble Lands also has a booming fishing and whaling industry that serves to offset their lack of fertile land.
Trade & Transport
Most of the transport among the central area of the Noble Lands takes place on the myriad of rivers and lakes that link the many cities together. When overland travel is required, it is often done through wagon trains protected by the Noble House or Houses that have a vested interest in seeing the goods to their destination.
Education
Being the seat for nobility in the The Eastern Imperium, the Education level of the Noble Lands is extremely high. Each member of nobility born in the Noble Lands is given only the best tutors and scholars from birth to teach them the ways of the world and of all scholarly subjects such as Military Tactics, History, and more...even the servants and citizens that work for these houses enjoy a higher level of Education than their peers in in south, and are often given basic Educations so as to better serve the Nobles they work for...though these Educations also generally involve some indoctrination to ensure the "lesser citizens" never rise up against their masters.
Magic Talent is found early and located while the subject in question is still young, so they may be taken in by the Imperial Magical College to be raised as a powerful mage.
While some level of knowledge and education is available to the general populace, most of and only the best facilities and most extensive knowledge is available to members of the nobility.
Infrastructure
The Noble Lands has a highly developed infrastructure developed over the many long centuries of the The Eastern Imperium's existence. The cities there have a well-maintained sewage system and Aquaducts, and the roads are well-built and both patrolled often and lined with magical heat-lamps to keep the roads thawed and visible in the blistering blizzards that plague the land. Each city is outfitted with large walls to keep out undesirables and the brutal cold both, and the roads have small Guard Fortresses placed every few days of travel to assist the patrolling forces in keeping the roads safe. Bridges are placed where they are necessary and are well-built and sturdy, maintained by the Imperial Engineering Corps.
