Questing Beast

The questing beast is a living trophy that serves aboard the Nomad both as a deckhand and a trophy. He appears like a hybrid between a squirrel and a fox, animated through ancient nanomachines. A mischevious figure known for his pranks and elusiveness, the questing beast excels in sneaking aboard enemy ships to thin their ranks with aplomb. He makes the Nomad's crew seem all the more impressive when he returns to the trophy room after combat and de-animates, boosting the effects of other trophies and making it appear as if the crew felled and captured the beast who caused their enemies so much trouble.   A legendary creature from Jotun, the questing beast was the greatest prize any hunter could aspire to. After the first time he was killed, a Geit Cheiftain, raised him from the dead as a Draugr, allowing him to return to the wild as the ultimate trophy for future generations to pursue. The Questing Beast spent time displayed in the crypts of many Geit hunters before inevitably escaping back to the wild.   The Party found him when visiting Osric's Forest and came upon poachers defiling the tomb of Osric the Hunter, raising the Draugr buried with him. The questing beast eluded the poachers, but the Party managed to catch him during the battle. So, the Questing Beast remains aboard the Nomad for now, on display for all to see.
