Rin

Rin is a Ninja serving aboard the Nomad as a deckhand. Raised on a monastery on the Rim, he was trained to fight in naught gravity from a young age. The leader of his Clan, Hideo, accepted a retainer from the Homyn Countess Bellari to retrieve a data cache from an Erryl satellite called the Straylight Lighthouse. His clan came into conflict with the Party when the Firefly Society hired them to retrieve the same data cache on behalf of the College of Ages, who were seeking its data to calculate the true age of the universe. Rin's clan handily lost against the Party, with Helix throwing Hideo into space using his telekinetic gauntlet.   Abandoned by the rest of his comrades, Rin defected from his clan. Helix saved his life and the Party escaped the lane on an Origami Boat. Rin agreed to join the crew as thanks and became the first deckhand to serve aboard the Nomad. He finds life outside the Rim strange, referring to his terrestrial comrades as "sphere walkers" and often experiencing gravity pains. Nevertheless, Rin is a powerful combatant to have on deck when the Nomad does battle in naught gravity. No one has seen Rin aboard the Nomad in quite some time, which means he either left at some point or is a very accomplished Ninja.
