A Rough and tumble son of a mercenary with aspirations of creating his own famous company one day. Born in the boarder town of Hydra in Apohpia his father took a keen approach to his sons combat training from an early age forming Darius into a Competent fighter and decent battlefield strategist. His Father was often called upon by the Royal family of Apophia to preform various duties for the Emperor. In this time Darius befriended Wu Hebikon an Heiress to the throne and the two became close friends. Over time they began to develop affections for each other, but due to her political position nothing became of the budding relationship they had began to develop
During a campaign in which his fathers outfit was hired by Old Heart to harass the Rell Alliance during a boarder conflict Darius found himself fighting along side Ryndall Greystone the Opal knight of the Barony of stone. Though his father would soon pass from sickness and his mercenary group would disperse without its leader, Darius would find a allies in the Dwarven Fighter known as Garum Wideload, Rat a gnome from the Jengal Wilds, and Eva Rochester, who informed him of Wu's Deposition and the group left to find her and protect her from her Traitorous Nephew.
When the party reached Fang's Pass with Lynn she introduced Darius to the Group and along with the now deposed Wu, Darius plotted for him and their new allies to infiltrate the Palace and depose of Orochi who had forced his Friends and Wu into hiding. Darius aided the party in the assassination and the fight against Orochi, disposing of several guards and providing information about the palace, leading the party to Orochi's Vault so they may pilfer what he had hoarded, to Wu's dismay. Luckily for him Wu cares very little for treasure and very much for him. Now that the situation has been resolved he will soon return to Wu and speak with her about their future.
Azael and Darius spent one night of passion together a decision he kind of regrets, fortunately for him no one has told Wu that was a witness for the event. Thought he tried to hide it often he is a chivalrous man but the alcohol got to him that night. In addition in order to in his own way make up for the deed, he agreed to Join Elizabeth Varro's Camp in order to provide muscle for her goal of Liberating the humans of Shin-Rin and so keep the military might of Apohpia away and the nation safe for Wu. What Ellie had asked was nothing short of asking Wu and the peoples of Apophia to go to war and die for her father and the people living in her hometown. A Selfish request he thought, but made with the very best of intentions.
After contacting several of his old men he managed to gather the remnants of his old mercenary crew together and sent Ellie a letter asking her for funding as he had come into contact with several freelance parties who would be interested in joining her cause for coin.
