Lalos, Grandangel of the Entropic Plane, is often symbolized as a Narwhal. In art he is regularly depicted with a long narwhal's horn, and is believed to take the form of one when visiting other planes. A very informal slang term exists, "Feed yerself to the narwhals!" which can be roughly translated as "go to hell."

Though most of the Lore regarding Lalos involves the life after death, there are few regarding his effect on the Mortal Plane. In the beginning the boundaries between the Planes were laid out quite clearly and though many of his cousins and siblings had crossed those lines Lalos is far too respectful of the rules set about him. Despite this fact he was not content in his role in the Entropic Plane and sought something more. He had gifted a number of mortals with the ability to draw from his Plane, just as his sister did from hers, but it wasn’t enough… it didn’t do enough. After a few centuries he realized something as he noticed that one of his souls had managed to escape; it wasn’t unheard of for a soul to manage passage to the Sepulchral Plane, but it wasn’t something that happened often either. He watched as it made its way back to the world it knew, twisted and deformed from the time it spent in his domain. He didn’t bother trying to drag it back as he normally did, too curious to see what the taint of his world could do to the people under Manari's protection. It didn’t take long for the first mortal to become ill. It moved quickly spreading from one being to another. By the time Rinsha was able to track the source of the illness to the escaped spirit it was already too late, and the first diseases were upon the world. Rinsha was quick to return the spirit back to its rightful place but through the centuries Lalos has allowed countless twisted souls to return bringing with them a new form of illness from flu to the black death; content to watch the suffering it created. There are many cultures that wear Lalos’ symbol, or give the likeness to their children, not to worship him but rather in the hopes that whatever tormented soul might bring illness upon the individual will be frightened by the reminder of their time in the Entropic Plane taking with it any evil it had intended to spread.
