Rinsha

The Watcher of Spirits

Rinsha is the Watcher of Spirits and ward of Uzuli, governing over the Sepulchral Plane; he tends to be called upon by those seeking to commune with the dead or resurrect the souls of lost ones. Like Lalos, he also hears homage from necromancers and their ilk.

It is said that Rinsha, despite his devotion to Uzuli and the constant travel of souls to and from his Plane, was a very lonely being. In the beginning, when a mortal would die their soul would be collected and Uzuli would provide judgement; the only exception to this were the souls that were too tormented or clung too closely the Mortal Plane to move on. They would become ghosts and poltergeists, perhaps even Hollows, but it was a rare occurrence and many of the souls that remained behind only stayed a short while; long enough for their unfinished business to conclude before abiding by Uzuli’s judgement.   Rinsha saw the domains of his siblings and cousins and envied them. They all had creations of their own, souls that worshiped or entertained them and he was stuck in the void of a few deranged beings far too gone to be anything but a nuisance. His domain was empty and cold, and he couldn’t stand it. So, he decided to change it.   He began to travel the Mortal Plane, searching for newly departed souls that had yet to be reaped. He would draw them close and whisper in their ear, promising all that they could possibly desire if they remained in the Sepulchral Plane, avoiding Uzuli’s judgement and providing him with the companionship he desired.   Many believe that Rinsha has created a great many homes in the ruins of the world; whether they be of vast cities or small huts, and that he leaves his wandering souls to guard these places in the hopes to scare the mortals away from whatever it is he keeps there.
