A dark fantasy world (with an isekai element), focused on court intrigue, complicated relationships and even more complicated personalities. Alliances and betrayals, stories of love and war, espionage and epic heroism both large and small-scale, play out against the backdrop of a pangaea-like supercontinent. Throwing a chaotic element into the mix are the mysterious Aedvectis - people and souls brought to Empirica from the Otherworld that lives beyond the World-Veil. From the lofty sky islands of Astrum and the shadowy forests of Gaean to the mesmerizing red rivers of Incaendium, the entwined lives of immortal and immortal form a tapestry that encompasses the Realms in all their wonder, and horror, and glory.

33072, 2nd Quarter, Day 50 (Astrumi Calendar)

Beyond the World Veil lies the Three Realms - a world where demons and gods, fairies and mortals walk the same solid ground and live inside the bounds of the same uncertain fate. Here, the boundaries between light and dark, good and evil - even this plane and the Otherworld - are blurred or erased... leaving the righteous ever one step from damnation, while even the darkest souls may yet find redemption.

...and, all the while, the greedy tentrils of the land reach beyond the World-Veil to grasp at outsiders and draw them in.

As a dark fantasy world, Crimson Court/Empirica Sin it deals with heavy and potentially disturbing themes such as abuse, trauma, war, mental illness, sexual assault, moral ambiguity, and more.

This not a statement that these things are all present. It is me, as a creator, reserving the right to use them and giving a heads up that they may come up.

That said, it isn't all grim - hopefully, it will also be fun, funny and uplifting... but it is important to know that the darkness always lurks around the corner, and that the good guys may not always win. If there are good guys around.
