Stroheim
Countess Stroheim is a founding member of the The Almighty 8, a mage of legendary talent, a former graduate and mentor of the Arcane Academy, renowned inventor, best selling author, and the wealthiest woman in Nalchaa. Traveling to Bizen and joining the Academy in her early 50s she excelled as a student and stayed on as a professor. During this time she joined an archeological expedition to Albion 's Rot Lands to investigate the star elvs' ruins where she uncovered Magikoto and became her caretaker on return to Nalchaa. A few years later the Academy game under attack by the chaos beast that ravaged eastern Nalchaa and stroheim lead a team to try and stop it, along with Magikoto and a skilled student named Hazamal.
After their triumph Stroheim was given the title of countess and wrote a memoir about the journey which made the 8 household names (to people who could read). She continued to preform acts of heroism with other members of the Eight as they slowly drifted apart until she believed she do more good by easing into a life of court politics. Around this time she began using some of her accumulated treasures and artificing skills to create magic items for the public, selling them to specialty shops before eventually opening her own large emporium in Bizen. Her wares are marked with the symbol of a nine tailed fox and rumors say they make up almost 1/4th of all magical items circulating in Nalchaa.
