The title given by the public to the band of 8 heroes who defeated the beast that ravaged Nalchaa's eastern regions twenty years ago. The group was founder by Stroheim at the Arcane Academy to stop the Chaos Calamity where they traveled the land west, south, and north for two months recruiting and training their team before heading off to their glorious battle. Most details of the groups journey are from Stroheim's bestselling book of the same name published a year after the incident. The team was later led by Futanushii the heroic roaming swordswoman, who Stroheim reveals to be much more, and received aide from various friends, towns, and enigmatic allies like Kashima. The battles were difficult and cost much blood to win, but without them the nation would be in unrecognizable chaos today. Some members of the Eight continued to collaborate long after the Cataclysm ended, but today only Stroheim and Magikoto are seen together frequently.
