Marvel's Boarding House Owner

Gertrude Marvel is the owner of the Marvel's Boarding House Boarding House. For years, it was a sole building that housed train travelers. The boarding house also provided meals and beverages. Not it only provides food and beverages to the residents of the house. Gertrude is not the most pleasant person. She’s lived her entire in Crooked Mile valley. Her rare vacations were spent visiting relatives in South Soffit or spending a few days at the Seasways Resort. Her parents died when she was in her forties. Married once and still married, but her husband left the community during the Six Year War and never returned. Gertrude likes to gossip. Because the boarding house is not booked completely, she doesn’t hesitate to consort with ne'er-do-wells and criminals. This upsets her neighbors. The complain that Gertrude’s penchant for gossip, her lack of scruples and her ornery attitude make it difficult to work with her. She expected an invitation to join the Crooked Mile Circle, but she’s not received an invitation. Likely never will. This only makes her dreary life worse.
