The Academy
The Academy is a big part in Darta's military capacity. Many young soldiers are recruited and educated here.
But, it is not only a military educator. Diplomats, advisors and politicians also go through the Academy to become more knowledgeable.
The Academy is also a king of orphanage. They welcome kids and youths to educate and take care of them if they have nowhere else to go. If your child has nothing to do and you think they should move out of your house, send them to the Academy!
Structure
The leader of the whole Academy is the head principal. Each school has its own principal, but they are all subordinate to the head principal, who most often sits in Orebo. The principal has the final say in most matters, especially concerning economics and the deployment of larger groups of students. To ease the principal's workload, there is a board at each school as well. Most of them are teachers that have been active in the Academy for a long time, chosen from within the board. A few military "stars" also sit on the board.
Culture
The Academy is a big organization that is found in multiple places all over Darta. Therefore the culture might be a bit different depending on which branch one visits, but some core beliefs are the same all over. Everyone is welcome to join the organization, there is no reason to say no to help. And there is always someone who needs help as well.

The Academy promises to shield the land from threats both from the outside and inside. It is a powerful organization.
They take everyone in, no matter who they may be.

The Academy is one of the most powerful organizations in Darta and therefore they have a big economy. Money from the royal family and rich sponsors are some sources of income.

History
It started out as a small group of six knights who trained local farmers in preparation for an attack on their village. They fought beside the farmers and won the battle, earning them fame and respect in the area. One knight, Gimo Vanderr, wanted to continue helping others self defense. The seed of the Academy was planted.
Gimo talked to the other knights about his idea of them traveling around to teach villagers self defense. Four others followed his lead: Melik Adwen, Nika Shirji, Kwaku Oleyi and Otto Xerct. Together they became the Knights of Teaching. They started their educational journey in the city they came from, Hillstown.
