Orebo
The capital city of Darta. Home to the royal family, the main Academy and much, much more. Orebo is a gigant city bursting with activity. It is a cultural melting pot where many different species, beliefs and tastes meet. With it's big harbour and marketplace, there are many exotic wares for sale.
Demographics
Orebo is a multi-cultural city with many souls of different species, beliefes, backgrounds etc. Humans mingle with fladdronts, elves, dwarves and even some Lizaps. Most of the souls in Orebo can sustain themselves and their family well, some even far beyond that, but in the slum there are those scavanging for every meal of the day.
Government
Because the royal family and the council rules from Orebo, the inhabitants of this city are the ones affected most by them. Citizents pay taxes around every new moon which goes towards defences, infrastructure, etc.
Defences
With The Academy's main building in the city, resources are well-managed. They have ships if danger would emerge on the horizon. Small troops patrol the city to keep the inhabitants safe.
Infrastructure
Orebo is well maintained, especially around the main road up to the castle.
Sewers run under the city in long and winding tunnels that leads out to a small reservoir. There some contraptions made of magic and mechanincal parts clean the water and releases it out into the ocean. The residue is then used as manure in the farms outside the city.
The harbour is very big and has many different sections to it. The biggest part is Traders Bay, where all the ships come in to unload all their wares.
History
Orebo started out as a small fishing village. It grew with the new trade routes that came to be. The harbour became the reson for the village's growth, and it is now the biggest in Darta. Many souls moved there for the good job-opportunities and powerful ones moved there for the strategic placement.
