Lizardfolk Traits (Homebrew Version)
Ability Score Increase: Your Constitution score increases by 2.
Age: Lizardfolk mature by around age 14 and typically have a lifespan of up to 60 years.
Alignment: Most lizardfolk tend towards neutrality. They view the world as a place of survival, where life and death are part of nature. They seek to ensure their own survival and usually leave other creatures to fend for themselves.
Size: Lizardfolk are somewhat taller and more robust than humans. Their colorful frills make them appear even larger. You have a Medium size.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Bite: You possess a fanged maw, a natural weapon that you can use for unarmed strikes. When you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 plus your Strength modifier, instead of the typical bludgeoning damage for an unarmed strike.
Cunning Artisan: During a short rest, you can harvest materials like bone and hide from a defeated creature, provided it's size Small or larger and falls into one of the following categories: beast, construct, dragon, monstrosity, or plant creature. You can craft one of the following items from these materials: a shield, a club, a javelin, or 1d4 darts or blowgun needles. To use this trait, you'll need a blade like a dagger or the appropriate artisan's tools, such as leatherworker's tools.
Hunter's Lore: You gain proficiency in two skills of your choice from the following list: Animal Handling, Nature, Perception, Stealth, and Survival.
Natural Armor: Your tough, scaly skin grants you a base Armor Class (AC) of 13 plus your Dexterity modifier when you're not wearing any armor. You can rely on this natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you're wearing would provide a lower AC. A shield provides its usual benefits when used in conjunction with your natural armor.
