Duchess Forlaith

Originally born in Connemara in the 1670s, Forlaith's family relocated to Dublin in search of greater opportunities. By the time she turned sixteen, they were running a moderately successful pub in a rough part of town. A few years later, a mysterious young nobleman named Guaicaipuro began frequenting their establishment. His behavior was peculiar, as he never finished his drinks or ordered anything for himself. Yet, strange disappearances seemed to coincide with his visits. Despite these oddities, Guaicaipuro was always friendly, tipped generously, and occasionally engaged in bouts of violence. Forlaith's family, wary of drawing attention, chose to ignore these unusual occurrences.   The locals, however, noticed the growing number of mysterious disappearances and concocted various explanations. Werewolves, the Sidhe, divine judgment, or even English interference were blamed. Forlaith, ever curious, couldn't help but notice the correlation between the nobleman's arrival and the increase in deaths. Guaicaipuro, however, remained evasive, simply smiling, changing the subject, or once, assuring her that she and her family were safe. His words temporarily silenced her nosiness.   After several years, Duke Guaicaipuro revealed his true nature to Forlaith, offering her the chance to join him as a dark immortal. Seeing it as a way to escape her mundane life, she accepted. Together, they moved further north, eventually arriving in the Dawn Lands.

What is an NPC

If you’d like to play, but want to reduce costs, then you can sign up as an NPC or Monster. If you choose to play as an NPC or monster, you may be given a role (perhaps more than one). You can specify a combat or non-combat role. You don’t have to choose a class and culture as an NPC, we will choose one for you. You will receive double experience points, standard starting gold, and are eligible for Royalty Points. You will also get an entry at half price.

THE PURPOSE

Monsters, NPCs, and Staff allow the LARP to run smoothly and help players who don't know exactly what they want to play, or that want to help, and/or need help with discounts to take part in the LARP.

The BIG Difference

between an NPC and an Adventurer is that an NPC’s primary job is to help the story move forward and to help players. NPCs fill jobs like healers, essential townsfolk roles, etc.
