Requirements

They must be at least 40 and have served in the Town Watch for a minumum of 10 years. They must be Human.

Appointment

When the current Judge dies a new one is voted into the position by the Town Watch members. Those who have served in the watch for long enough will declare their interest in serving as the Judge. They will each be given the oppurtunity to present to the watch why they should be voted for. Then there is a general vote with every watch member getting to cast a vote.

Responsibilities

They are responsible for ruling on the law. They make decisions regarding whether or not the law was broken and how an offender should be punished.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Generally, they serve for life. However, the Seragents or Captain can call for a Fitness for Duty Review. This is the process in which the Seragents or Captain can challenge the Judge's ability to perform their duties. They present their case before the Officers who then vote to either maintain the Judge or to Annul their appointment. If the Judge is Anulled, a new Judge is then promoted into the position.
