The Crawling Chaos
Nyarlathotep is the son/offspring of Azathoth.
He is a chaos deity and part of the outer gods, the elder gods and the great old ones.
Nyarlathotep has many different forms/avatars and many names. He's a shape-shifter and has many other abilities such as immortality, traversing every plane of existence and reality warping.
He's different than many other outer gods as he understands human emotions and morals. He also likes to spend time with humans and seems to possess at least some human-like emotions himself. He mostly likes to torture humans and inflict pain and suffering in them as well as distorting their view of reality.
Nyarlathotep also once visited the universe of
Ashharkriti, who told him to leave immediately because he doesn't want deities from different dimensions to invide his sphere of influence.
The Crawling Chaos didn't listen and threatened to pull a part of
Azathoth into the universe in order to destroy Ashharkriti. It caused the near distruction of the universe and killed nearly both Nyarlathotep and Ashharkriti. Ashharkriti was able to beat Nyarlathotep and banished from him from the universe.
It seems like that however the angered creator deity was not successful at banishing the Crawling Chaos and thus Nyarlathotep curses the universe once more. But one of the outer god's avatars was destroyed.
Currently, he seems to travel around the planet
Jnut and now is worshiped by a small subsection of the population, manly social outcasts and the mentally ill. The rest of the
Mui deny his existence and belief that is only part of a conspiracy theory against Mui culture.
The worship of Nyarlathotep is banned on the planet of Jnut because of this.
History
Nyarlathotep fulfills the wishes of his father immedately and without question. That is to say that though Nyarlathotep might fear his father's powers, yet he finds his spastic and mindless wishes to be very annoying to fulfill.
Some say that he developed a sadistic personality out of boredom because torturing lower life forms that are inferior to his own at least gives him more satisfaction than his occupation as a servant of Azathoth.
Note:
It's unknown how Azathoth feels really about Nyarlathotep because he never states his opinion on him as he is mindless, so I keeped his stats neutral.
History
Nyarlathotep was told by Ashharkriti to leave his universe. He didn't listen to him and then threatened to pull a part of Azathoth into the universe, causing massive destruction.
Nyarlathotep was then banished from the universe by Ashharkriti, but it's unsure he succeeded as the result seemed to be the destruction of one of Nyarlathotep's avatars, but not his entirety.
Nicknames & Petnames
Nyarlathotep might seem disrespectful to Ashharkriti and he doesn't fully acknowledge his will, yet he does have some respect for him. He even called him "The Father I never had", praising Ashharkriti's intellect in comparision to Azathoth's non-existent one. Ashharkriti called him a "little black worm" because he doesn't respect him at all.
