Drow
Sub-Species of Delvia
Drow, also known as Dark Elves, Deep Elves, or Night Elves are a charcoal-skinned sub-species of elf that predominantly live in the underdark. The history of the ancient pre-Cataclysm elven civilization is not extremely detailed, nor is it easily accessible to the public, but it is commonly known that the first drow followed their unholy queen, Lolth, down into the Underdark where they could easily commune with her realm in the abyss. Over generations, the drow adapted to the deadly caverns of the Underdark: their skin changed to a charcoal black, their hair turned a pale white, and their eyes adapted to the near-complete darkness.
During the formation of post-cataclysm society, the drow nobility established a lucrative business trading slaves with larger nations such as Destov and Zellek, while Zellek has since officially outlawed the trade, the new xenophobic human supremacist dynasty that rules Destov still maintains good relations with the drow that live under their mountain home by trading away any unwanted non-humans they catch in the mountains. The extinction of the once powerful Yuan-ti clans is a result of a joint effort between the destovian military and drow raid parties.

Light in the Dark
While the ruling class in the underdark may enforce the cruel and selfish traditions that give drow their bad name. Not all drow share their views, and most who disagree with the status quo make for the surface.Basic Information
Anatomy
In many ways, the drow resemble the first elves, the eladrin. Their bodies are wiry and athletic, and their faces chiseled and unseemingly attractive.
Their skin varies from dark grey to jet black, and, rarely, obsidian (with shades of blue). Drow hair could be stark white, pale yellow, or even silver-grey. Their eyes could be practically any colour, but curiously they tend to match with whatever luminescent gems happen to populate their home environment; the most common being blue, pink, or silver.
Due to a process of selective breeding and high standards, drow (especially nobility) are exceedingly attractive, even compared to other elves. Their alluring appearance, while useful for seduction, is more commonly used to instill fear.
