Mithral Elf
Sub-Species of Delvia
Mithral elves, or Star elves, or Ruar-tel-quessir, as they used to be known, were a race of elves that abandoned the prime material plane and escaped to an extraplanar redoubt they called Sildëyuir. They were considered equal to eladrin in terms of fey blood, but were more closely related to high elves.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Star elves looked a lot like moon elves, with light skin and hair of gold, red, or silver. They had violet or gray eyes with occasional gold flecks in them. They were tall for elves, being about 5 1⁄2 to 6 ft (1.67 to 1.83 m) tall, and had a slender build. They liked to wear elaborate tunics but in neutral tones, so as to better remain unseen in the forest. They were strikingly handsome by human standards, even more so than other elves.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
According to legend, Star elves were supposedly able to see through the astral plane and converse with the elven deities. It was this ability that caused other elves to herald them as royalty.
Civilization and Culture
History
The mithral elves were the original elves that populated Delvia. It is said they descended from the night sky itself to bless the land with the touch of the Seldarine. When other elf races came to be, they heralded the star elves as royalty, and the star elves lived up to their perception. Aloof and cautious, Star elves were exceptionally reclusive and sheltered from the rest of civilization. However, it did not harm their ability to get along well with other elves, and their gifts with magic and peaceful views that made them natural leaders among the other elves. And they remained in power for centuries, living through the earliest days of dragons, and some even witness to the great giant civilizations that came before. Yet that all changed with the arrival of man.
After bearing through the conflict of fey, giants, and dragons, the Mithral elves could stand no more destruction, and when the warmongering and expansionistic humans made land and began to spread through the continent, the Mithral elves could take it no longer. The high mages created a network of stone circles throughout the Sildëyuir, the Crystal Forest, which was then used to channel a spell that formed the demi-plane realm of the same name. Along with some other elf races that wished to escape the conflict, all but one family of Mithral elves retreated into the demi-plane and left Delvia behind.
The one remaining family, House Kirinor, became the sole royal bloodline that ruled over Viabuedon, from the then capital city of Darvis Kur. When the city was sacked by Xisveth the Black, the family line was extinguished, and a new family of high elves took on the mantle of rulership in the new capital, Nunas.
