No backstabbing in this court
After its formation, 44 years ago, it was decided that they wouldn't be ruled due to blood, but by strength, dignity, and honor, words taken straight from the dogma of the The Kingdom of Man. As an insult to their heritage, the Half-Orcs would be ruled the three "noble" families, each given the rights and privileges of nobility. To determine who which families are given this noble right any and all are allowed to participate in a bloody tournament which is hosted every ten years, The Coronation. This event takes place over two weeks during which the contestants partake in various events -from grand melees to jousting- scoring points depending on their performance, the top contender is crowned König for the next ten years, the two runner-ups have bestowed the honor of nobility for the next ten years, given the title Herzog (2nd) and Graf (3rd). Generally speaking, these events have been quite bloody, yet very few (maybe one every tournament) Half-Orcs have died in these events (due to their resilience), yet other contestants know far higher mortality rates. When these lands were claimed and united under Joel Pregl 44 years ago, the first of these tournaments was held the following week. Due to the relatively small amount of contestants (34 at the time), it was concluded the following day, with Joel Pregl claiming the title as König of the The Half-Tribes of the West. Yet as time moved on, the renown of these events spread far and wide, with every new tourney attracting more contestants and thus taking longer, with the last event taking well over two weeks to complete (about 250 contestants). Even as Joel Pregl hasn't been to top contender for every year, (losing once to Maximilian Uhe) he has still been a powerful entity in these lands ensure the unification of the Half-tribes.Current Problems
An Aging King
For as long as the Half-Tibes have been united they have been so under the leadership of Joel Pregl yet rumors suggest that their König and champion won't be participating this year. Many fear that if no one steps up to fill the presence of Joel Pregl the Half-tribes might go down in infighting and opportunistic outsiders. Even now people gather behind their favorite champion of years prior Maximilian Uhe and Jan Trimme are seen as the most likely.Diplomacy Diagram not available
