“Hey, Micah!” called Matty, a very tall and reedy boy with tightly corkscrewed russet hair and patchy bristles, slightly off hue, sprouting along his chin and upper lip. He gazed down at the much shorter Micah through a thick set of navy blue glasses that were slightly too wide for his lemon-standing-upways shaped head, and were perched on a freckled, beaky nose. He dressed himself in nerdy graphic tees tucked into baggy trousers, the kind that had been out of fashion by about a decade.

Early Life
Matty is one of the members of The Zephyr Coders at the QE-STEM College. He did his A-levels in Computer Games & Animation alongside Psychic, Ashleigh Brush, and Sarah Wilkinson.
Book 1: Prologue
“Ha! Take that! My Space Marine–”Matty is introduced alongside Ash and Sarah before Psychic is taken into the Sanctuary for the Gifted Child. He's one of Psychic's best friends, and they play warhammer together every Saturday.
Matty smiled. He shouldn’t be smiling. Micah grew suspicious, swallowing nervously. His eyes slowly trailed the battlefield, the last remaining units, and then the dice.
“That’s a one, Micah.”
His world crumbled around him, and Matty immediately, without a shred of mercy, thrashed his sorry ass. As his last unit tipped over, laying face down in the grass, Micah felt his knees wobble and fell to them.
“We can’t all be winners!” boasted Matty, his smile having developed into a shit-eating grin. “You put up a good fight… But Orks are better, I’ve literally been telling you this forever.”
