Ominkana

Ominkana is sometimes regarded as the root of all evil within Deoryüm. From the backstabbing Yuan-Ti to the rebellious Lizardfolk to the subservient Kobolds, Ominkana is home to what may be read as the least trustworthy races that exist within the Material Plane. Though it's not necessarily true that everyone in Ominkana is evil, they certainly seem to relish in the perception that they are not exactly the most peaceful of races. Perhaps it's built into Kindom-type government, or maybe it's because of how Ominkana was formed out of Kadamitas  bathed in blood and betrayal, but Ominkana seems to live up to it's name as "the most evil place on Deoryüm."   Ominkana is a large island nation, and is often said to be the only Nation that does not regularly deal with issues from The Wilderlands. Even other island nations such as Leukos or Khthon have uncommon encounters with groups from The Wilderlands looking to overtake certain areas, but Ominkana has such a reputation as a truly bloodthirsty place that not even the inhabitants of The Wilderlands often attempt to cross their borders. Though this is certainly a positive for the people of Ominkana, it also proves that their reputation precedes them, and is the thing many point to as proof of why almost no other Nations interact with them.   The Ominkanan culture is rooted in ancient culture and forgotten mysticism. Many inhabitants can be described as "dark mages" who use their powers for less-than-good reasons. However, with a society literally built around such people, Ominkana has turned into a sort of safe haven for all who believe that society holds down true progress. In particular, a surprising amount of Khthonian scientists have sought refuge in Ominkana, believing that the "ethics" and "moral principals" ofKhthon were too restrictive. This influx of foreigners has slowly shifted the Ominkanan culture to be more progress-oriented, and nowadays most inhabitants of Ominkana dream of a brighter future.   The capital of Ominkana is an enormous urban jungle in the northern taiga named Tselignagau. The streets are made of mythic blackstone and the towering spires of dark obsidian reflect the dim sunlight, giving an eerie and almost frightening glow to everything around. The shadows are long and the alleyways are aplenty, making Tselignagau a place ripe for crime and underbusiness. But there are certainly more honest civilians, just looking to make a living in one of the most successful cities in the world.
