Red Larch

The town of Red Larch sits in the heart of the Dessarin Valley. For the last two hundred years it has been an important stop along the Long Road, a day's journey between Westbridge and Amphail. A clean, drinkable spring runs through the town, collecting a large pond ideal for watering livestock, horses and mules.   Red Larch is also home of a number of quarries, and the businesses needed to support them. From butchers to clothiers there's a thriving trade. Recent years have seen it grow and branch out; it boasts two butchers, a bakery, and A.G. Sterling, Fine Jewlery all of which thrive within its borders.

History

Red Larch grew up out of the needs of travelers moving between Westbridge and Amphail. The small pond oasis quickly grew up into a comfortable town, and it wasn't long before the stone in the area gave people yet another reason to stop among the dense Larch trees.

Natural Resources

The hills surrounding Red Larch contain large deposits of granite and marble.  These are the main export of the town since the Larch trees were harvested years before.
