Xorlarrin's Crown
This floating city was once part of an ancient Netherese floating city that once existed where Outding Refuge now stands. It is just a part of it, but the most stable portion and it was able to fly again due to studies done by Lars Heyton and the Netheril Nexus .
The citizens of this enclave live either in the main city portion or the white tower of the Netheril Nexus which is a city in itself.
Geography
A part of a mountain top was pulled off, turned upside down and a large city was built on it. These enclaves were a favorite of the Ancient Netherese, but stopped existing long ago. The enclave that existed here long ago sank, but a portion stood as Outding Refuge. With some early research and advances by Lars and his first group of recruits they began to learn how there was more in the ocean from the enclave. They found a large portion that was able to be put back in the sky and they built 3 additional tower enclaves, then 12 miniature guard enclave posts which seem a bit invisible.
Climate
Tropical climates are characterized by constant high temperatures (at sea level and low elevations all 12 months of the year have average temperatures of 18 °C (64.4 °F) or higher; and generally high annual precipitation. There is no winter, per se. Frost does not occur, allowing tropical vegetation to flourish. Except for the one year that had a magical winter, of course.
Natural Resources
The land here is full of some magical crystals which seems to be affected by the dragon hoard of Canthenth, the Arcane Forge, and the ancient Enclave that once existed here. Those crystals are now being used for a variety of magic research by the Netheril Nexus.
There is an abundance of fish and other plants here which provide those who live here, but they also do a fair amount of trade with those who stop here as a layover between Kampos & Æwrûn.
They also have a long history of having unique magic goods here, but that has only been more true with the research now being done here.
