An old and powerful witch who ascended into godhood. Beatra is the patron deity of all manners of witches, warlocks, hags and of various evil and magic spellcasters. Many are drawn to the power that Beatra offers, thus Beatra has many devout fanatic followers.
Beatra is oftentimes called the Source of All Evil by those that detest her, but evil existed long before her, Beatra simply seized the opportunities in front of her. She learned the beauty of magic and its exploits at a young age at the tutelage of a mentor, who she eventually stole not only her secrets, but took her very name and visage as well. Armed with an unlimited array of magical knowledge, Beatra began to tutor and attract her own students and followers, growing a following that would eventually become known as the Children of Despair .
Her following at an all time high, she began to influence kingdoms with her magic and charm, seeding her desires into the very fabric of the world. Alas, Beatra sought more power, power befit for a divine, so she conspired with Areelu and tore open reality itself, creating the World Wound, a portal directly to the very Abyss, where the demons began to pour in and with Beatra at the very helm she began the Unholy Crusade. At the end of her bloody trail, she had met her end, banishment at the hands of celestial protectors, which imprisoned her in the Abyss. But the harm was already done, and Beatra had amassed the power needed for Divinity, and none could stop her.
