Web of Influence
The Web of Influence is an aura present around or near every creature with a soul(citation needed). The area of the Web changes depending on the species.
Variances
Monsters
Webs of Influence vary greatly between Monsters; in Boss Monsters they are especially large, covering an area at least seven times greater than the monster's physical form.Humans and Fairies
The Web of Influence in Humans is confined to their physical form, reaching from the soul's resting place inside of the chest through the arms into each fingertip. Similarly, the Web in Fairy s is confined to the same areas of their bodies.Fae
The Web of Influence in Fae is contained in their souls from the point of conception up to when the Fae summons his Projected , at which point the Web reaches in a straight line from the Fae's soul to the Projected.Pixies
The Web of Influence in Pixies is the largest area of all, compared to their diminutive size. The Web reaches an area over fifty times the pixie's size.Benefits and Uses
In summoned spells as in monster and pixie magic, the Web defines where projectiles and effects can be created, but not where they may go (if they can be moved). Human and Fairy magic, confined to their bodies as it is, constricts their ability to work magic to their fingers. Fae magic is constricted only to their Projecteds.Drawbacks
Whatever area is covered by the Web will not only enable use of magic by the Web's bearer, but also the use of magic against the Web's bearer. Spells that are disruptive to the soul(citation needed) can be used from afar on any whose Web of Influence touches the attacker. Thus, boss monsters and pixie are at a special disadvantage against such magic, whereas humans and fairies can only be affected if the spell enters their bodies.Remove these ads.
