IO Tinker

Born near Trolanport as Ionvanix Trixeltinker, it was soon obvious he would be destined to uphold the stereotype of the slightly crazy tinkering Gnome. With ease he would construct, deconstruct, improve and evolve all his toys. When he was almost of age and had already completely reprogrammed the household's warforged servant, his parents sent him of to the academy of engineering in Korranberg. There he kept on growing in his role as a paragon of the trade and specialised in constructs, specifically warforged. With a certain ease, he graduated with merit and together with some of his fellow students started a collective "LivingWoods" to further study the wonder of the Warforged. As is custom in these collectives, he officially changed his name to: IO Tinker, both letters of his first name in caps, to mimic the binary language, often used in the creation and altering of warforged. After a few years in the collective, IO was looking for a more hands on approach with the Warforged, so he moved to Sharn, where House Cannith used to create these wonderful beings in special forges. Not long after he settled he started to learn a great deal more about the Warforged than his studies in Korranberg ever did. Back home the Warforged were treated as machines, but here they were considered independant beings by law, though not everybody respected this. He got fascinated by this newfound autonomy and started to study how this could programmed and improved. During these studies he met a fellow Warforged Afficianado. A human named Rutherford Belle, who was more dedicated to the actual mechanics and physics of the Warforged. They discoverd that combined, they formed a powerful tool to make Warforged better than ever before. Together with Rutherford, IO managed to convince the House of Cannith of his valuable skill and knowledge and the both of them were allowed to set up a shop to work on Warforged. The "TinkerBelle Specialised and Bespoke Afterforge" shop quickly made name among the high society in Sharn and most of the wealthier houses payed handsomely for updating and improving their Warforged personel. At first he reveled in his new lucrative life, but after a while his consiousness started to question it. Eventhough his knowledge and skill had grown exponentially, as had his wallet, it dawned on him that 90 percent of his commisions were to make the Warforged better employees and not to make them more autonomous. Secretly he began to buy some warforged of his own and started to experiment to perfect the autonomy and independence of these wonderful beings. Working so closely together with Rutherford, it was only a matter of time before he found out, but luckily he too wished a better life than servitude for the Warforged. This created an unbreakable bond between the two and they started to hatch plans to help the Warforged reach the autonomy and independance, gifted to them in the Thronehold Accords. Doing this under the noses of House Cannith and the other nobles, who would prefer the Warforged more docile and restricted, was risky, but so far their plans have gone unnoticed and soon, so much wheels would be turning towards a Warforge revolution, that there would be no turning back. Sadly, recent actions by House Cannith, to re-arm Warforged, probably to create an army, might twart all the work done so far.
