Turvandil

Turvandil is the scepter of Oona stolen by Corellon, who used it to open a portal from the Feywild into Divostra and lead the Eladrin to escape their enslavement.   Following the closing of the Feywild Portal, the scepter was shattered into five pieces by Corellon, with each shard being entrusted to an Archdruid of the Korunai. These shards are scattered across the far corners of Divostra, their existence a well-guarded secret by the Divostran druids. The Korunai are sworn to prevent the reuniting of Turvandil, which can open portals to other planes, allowing outside forces to once again threaten the balance of nature.   As part of the Korunai Rites, which prepares members of the circle to assume the mantle of Archdruid, a druid is expected to seek out the truth of Turvandil, long since forgotten by other civilizations. The practice grew out of the belief that an Archdruid is only ready to lead their circle once they understand why the collective was established in the first place; that the Korunai is not simply meant to revere and preserve nature, but understand the full scope of the threat to its balance.

History

Each shard of the scepter is protected by a different druidic circle. The Luminous Seers of Zandrazil protect the lotus-shaped crown of the scepter, the Feychildren of Urdravrak and the Furriers of Gondril each guard one of the two vine-like "handles" that attach to the shaft of the scepter, the Tombkeepers of the Innulthac hold the upper half of the shaft, and the the Mosswardens of Shandalar protect the bottom half of the shaft.
