Corellon
Corellon Larethian (a.k.a. Lord of the Leaves, Coronal of the Seldarine, Chainbreaker, Renegade , Usurper)
Corellon is an ascended god and the prime deity of the Seldarine. They are worshipped as the god of freedom, justice, and war by the Eladrin and despised as a betrayer god and false deity by the Drow.
Prior to their ascension, Corellon was an Eladrin slave entrusted to the care of princess Maralen Shadowsilk. The elf seduced the princess and convinced her to steal her mother's scepter, Turvandil, a powerful artifact that allowed its wielder to travel between the planes. Corellon persuaded Maralen to free several thousand Eladrin from their enslavement, and the wily elf used the stolen scepter to leave the Feywild along with several other fey looking to escape the fairies' despotic rule. After severing the connection between the planes, Corellon shattered Turvandil to prevent Maralen from reclaiming her mother's staff, though destroying so powerful an artifact caused a magical backlash that mortally wounded them. The elves' collective mourning in the wake of Correllon's death was so powerful that their body became a Thaumic Locus and their soul ascended to godhood. The newly ascended god created the higher plane of Arvandor, where they now preside over the souls of departed Eladrin along with the rest of the Seldarine.
Corellon could be considered the twin of the Drow goddess Ish'kanah, whose form was born from their entombed remains. After their ascension, Corellon's body continued to serve as a reservoir for the vengeful feelings the Eladrin had toward the fairies and the longing they felt to reclaim their home and free the rest of their enslaved kin. As the two were birthed of the same mortal form, Ish'kanah believes herself to be the true ascended form of Corellon and actively opposes them and their followers.
