Oona Shadowsilk

Queen Oona Shadowsilk (a.k.a. Fairy Queen, Matriarch of the Feywild, Mother of the Fae, Silken Slaver, Eight-Limbed Tyrant)

Oona Shadowsilk is the queen of the fairies and the matriarchal ruler of the Feywild.
As an ageless archfey, Oona has ruled the Feywild for centuries, her subjects believing her to be the plane's creator and rightful ruler. Her reign established a hierarchy among the fey, long considered to be the natural order of things by all of her subjects, with fairies sitting at the top, other species as free subjects of the fey queen's rule, and Eladrin as a subservient slave class bound to serve the fairies for eternity. This hierarchy was maintained until Corellon stole Oona's scepter Turvandil and opened a portal to the Prime Material Plane, allowing the Eladrin to escape their enslavement alongside sympathetic fey who also fled the Feywild, and trapping Oona and the fairies in the Feywild.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Oona is barely humanoid in appearance, her form incorporating elements of all the fairy subspecies. Her almond-shaped compound eyes frame an upturned chiropteran nose sitting atop a curved mouth slightly too wide for her face. The queen's smile is a nightmare of sharp, daggerlike fangs, and her tendril-like tongue rakes across her teeth with every word, causing her to buzz as she speaks. The archfey's shimmering blue hair cascades down her segmented abdomen, each segment armored with jagged chitin curved into a feminine shape that does nothing to soften her monstrous appearance. Two pairs of arms sprout from her segments; the upper arms are long and thick, ending in two serrated pincers, while the lower set are much smaller and end in humanoid hands. Her appendages are protected by the same chitinous armor as her abdomen. Her spine is marked by draconic spikes that jut from her back, trailing down her abdomen and across the top of her massive thorax, down to her reptilian tail.
The fey queen's arachnid thorax is covered in a coat of patterned, coarse bristles. Four chitin-armored spider legs emerge from either side of her lower body, the appendages covered in the same rough hair. At the end of these massive legs are four trifurcated avian talons, each of her twelve toes terminating in a black, razor-sharp claw larger than the queen's lower hands. At the end of her thorax is a whip-like dragon's tail, lined in the same spines as the rest of her back and ending with a wickedly curved scorpion's stinger. Her otherwise reptilian tail is covered in the same sharp bristles as the rest of her lower body.
Two massive batlike wings jut out from Oona's shoulder blades. The skin between each segment is translucent like the wings of a dragonfly, their membrane a faint blue hue, while the network of deep blue veins visible through the translucent skin create a pattern that resembles two massive eyes.
