Mara Redgrave
Mara Redgrave was born into House Cannith, one of the most prominent and influential houses of the Dragonmarked Houses in Khorvaire. She showed an early aptitude for magical tinkering and was sent to Morgrave University to study arcane engineering. After completing her studies, Mara returned to House Cannith and quickly rose through the ranks, thanks to her exceptional skills and creativity.
However, Mara became disillusioned with the house's relentless pursuit of technological advancement, and the unethical means they used to achieve it. She found herself at odds with her superiors and was eventually forced to leave the house.
Determined to use her talents for good, Mara became a freelance inventor and started her own small business in Sharn. She designed and crafted a variety of magical items, from simple household gadgets to more complex contraptions that helped adventurers in their quests.
It was during this time that Mara met Kyrenic Redgrave, a wandering elven druid. They fell in love and were married soon after. Mara and Kyrenic had two children together, Vivienne and L3-37 Redgrave.
Despite her estrangement from House Cannith, Mara remained a respected figure in the magical community. She often attended academic conferences and was invited to speak at various gatherings. Her expertise in magical tinkering and invention was widely recognized, and she continued to produce innovative and unique designs.
Mara's reputation eventually caught up with her, and House Cannith reached out to her in hopes of rekindling their relationship. Mara was initially hesitant, but after much consideration, she agreed to meet with them.
