High Elves
And under the silver shimmer of the moon they met. In their long white ropes and untouched scalps, heads held high as they discuss our future, like it was tomorrow's weather, smiling like angels from their beautiful countenances as they doomed us all to die.High elves, as the beating heart of x, have built their culture on knowledge, magic and innovation. Seeking out greater and greater heights as their society progresses. As such they learn early on to focus on magical mastery and the keeping of a sharp mind. And for it, Intelligence is one of the traits they admire the most as a culture. They often find themselves in fitting positions to these talents. As advisers, politicians, inventors, teachers or librarian guardians. The royal families under them are indeed some of the most influential households in x, ruling much of the land with a quick wit and ruthless strategy. And even those of them that not belong to the upper crust are still often from well-off families, thanks to their superior social standing and being regarded as exceptionally intelligent and beautiful by the 'lesser' Elf clans.
Appearance
As any of the other Eleven clans, this one possesses all the same basic features, like the pointy ears, naturally slim and athletic build or lack of facial hair and presence of little to no body hair. High elves though, are in contrast, normally very fair skinned, with white, blond, black or, in rarer cases, golden or silver hair, which is deeply ingrained in their culture. Every Elf that holds anything to their name keeps meticulous care of their hair. Making sure that it is healthy and grows long, as this is a sign of their well standing. Only criminals, exiles and oath breakers cut their hair, or are forced to, so that everyone can see their disgrace. And if anyone should cut the hair of an elf for any other reasons, this will be regarded as a crime that is highly punishable.If an Elf dies it is typical for a lock of their hair to be kept by their loved ones, and is worn close to their body or sleeping place for remembrance.
Their eyes are typically blue, black, yellow, gold or even violet sometimes.
Lifespan
High elves, like any elves, reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans would, but the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. And an elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.
Racial Abilities
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1. Cantrip. You know one cantrip of your choice from the Wizard spell list. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for it. Elf Weapon Training. You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow. Extra Language. You can read, speak, and write one additional language of your choice. Trance. Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
