Kenku

“Say 'Nevermore'," said Shadow.
"Fuck You," said the Raven.
Kenku, as one of the Amilakra, are sentient animals, and in this case, primarily ravens. Looking exactly as such, but a bit bigger, upright and a little more humanoid.   These Amilakra are not particularly well regarded by most other races, as this one has a reputation of betrayal and such.
Most of them are vagabonds or criminals, never having had a chance to learn any different, as anyone who sees them most likely will want them to go soon again too. Haunted by an ancient crime that cost them the ability to fly, forever isolating them from any other bird Amilakra.
So, many of them, slick through the shadows of the cities, travel along the trails of the land or fight their way through the woods alone.

DM Advice

Even though this race exists, i would not advise playing them, as their reputation and the way people interact with them keep them out of many places and from many opportunities and this will probably become jarring to deal with really quickly. As I obviously want you to be part of things and you, i assume, do too. So their other bird relatives, the Owlin and The Aarakocra are probably better options to go with.
