The Amilakra

Those who will feast upon my flesh may rise as new, and be greedy like dragons, and scared like elves and they may find themselves suddenly unfitting and strange and tortoured by sentience, as this is the draw of those, who eat forbitten fruit. 

The Amilakra are sentient, humanoid animals that where created as such a long, long time ago. Legend say's that this happened when the first dragon died, and the animals who feasted upon its flesh where the ones who soon after transformed to become something else. Some say that simply being close to its body, or touching it already had these effects, but of course no one can prove it.
In the end it was the other dragons who disposed of their brother, and no one really knows how, just that the time before this, had been enough to harbor five new species. 
The Harengon, which are rabbit of bunny like. 
The Grung, which are frogs.
The Aarakocra, which are like eagles.
The Kenku, who are like ravens.
And, the Owlin, which are like owls.
