Maximilien
Maximilien is a Dragons of the War Singer breed in the service of the Continental Air Forces and paired with Dragon Riders Andrew Ruddock. He was hatched on 4 April 1776, at Camp Wyatt in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in western Virginia.
Maximilien chose his name because he had "heard the name spoken when he was still in the shell and it sounded like a powerful name." Andrew had no objections and the name was recorded.
His egg, a pale purple and yellow mottled shell, had been procured by the CAF from their French allies. The egg was among the first batch of eggs hatched by the Air Forces, all of their other Dragons having been hatched by the British Aerial Corps. The War Singer breed, known as the Chanseur de Guerre in French, is a lightweight breed known for their Golden yellow scales, accented in purples. Their average adult wingspan is over 20 feet and their length is over 50 feet. Named War Singers for their melodious trills and trumpeting, they have an ability to mimic bugle calls and can relay the calls over a battlefield further than the original call.
Shortly before his hatching, he selected Andrew Ruddock from the presented Dragon Rider candidates.
As a lightweight breed, Maximilien is being trained, along with his Rider to serve as a messenger.
