Lathander, whose title is The Morninglord, is a deity of dawn, birth, and renewal. He favors those who dispel the undead and blesses those who plant new life. He is also the god called upon to bless birth and fertility related ceremonies.

Lathander's portfolio includes peace, endurance, birth, renewal, joy, healing, self-improvement, fertility, family/community, and survival. He blesses those that bring life and destroy undead. He is opposed by Myrkul and hates anything that creates false life.
Healers and birthing mothers worship him. An order of life clerics known as the Dawnbringers follow him. His temples tend to function as hospitals and places of healing.
Services held in the morning honor him. Funerals, among his followers, are held at dusk and are followed by a wake that lasts until dawn.
