Mount Celestia
The single sacred mountain of Mount Celestia rises from a shining Silver Sea to heights barely visible and utterly incomprehensible, with seven plateaus marking its seven heavenly layers. The plane is the model of justice and order, of celestial grace and endless mercy, where angels and champions of good guard against incursions of evil. It is one of the few places on the planes where travelers can let down their guard. Its inhabitants strive constantly to be as righteous as possible. Countless creatures aim to reach the highest and most sublime peak of the mountain, but only the purest souls can. Gazing toward that peak fills even the most jaded of travelers with awe.
Geography
The seven individual layers form a colossal mountain that rises from an infinite sea of holy water on the bottom-most layer, to the summit on the top-most layer. Ascending the mountain is analogous to travelling through subsequently higher or 'deeper' layers to the top. Each of the seven layers contains at least one mountain or high structure rising into the sky, and most have whole mountain ranges. The barriers between the seven layers are arranged such that entrances are at the lowest geographical points and exits are at the highest, so a traveler from the Astral Plane would enter the first layer at the base of a mountain (actually, in the surf of the ocean surrounding the mountain) and has to climb to the peak to reach the next layer, only to emerge at the bottom again. The sky of each layer has its own hue which softly bathes everything in gentle shades of luminance.
Fauna & Flora
Angels and archons are among the good creatures that inhabit Mount Celestia. The archons are the native and most numerous inhabitants of the Seven Heavens, cheerfully going about the business of serving the Higher Powers. Many types of archons live in the first six layers but only rumors exist of a ruling archon ensconced in the top layer. Collectively, the inhabitants are called 'Celestians'.
