Dakrúzú Peninsula

The Dakrúzú Peninsula1 forms the southern part of the Múlíat Mountains in the southern Dragonía, as well as the southernmost part of the continent in general. It's home to the Traks, Gobíls whose culture is quite different from that of their cousins due to the unique environment and relative isolation from the rest of the world.

Geography

It's the second largest peninsula in Dragonía, with the largest being Vorran Peninsula to the west, and the region which experiences volcanic eruptions and earthquakes most frequently, particularly to the south, due to the influence of the element of Fire. However, the ash and minerals released by the volcanoes means that less unstable regions are some of the most fertile in the Múlíat Mountains.
The landscape on the peninsula is varied and ever changing, featuring such things as basalt columns, cooled lava fields, hot springs, brightly coloured (and poisonous) lakes, extensive cave systems and all sorts of strange rock formations.

Fauna & Flora

The fertile valleys and fields dotting the Dakrúzú Peninsula are teeming with life, some similar to wildlife found elsewhere in the southern highlands (including antelopes, wild cats and sheep), others endemic to the region, including a number of reptiles and birds, and hardy vegetation such as Ember Trees.

Natural Resources

Obsidian is found in great quantities on the peninsula, so much that most of the inhabitants prefer it over metal for tools and weapons, while precious stones, metals and other minerals are mined there as well.
