Nexþúrot
Nexþúrot is capital of Outer-Dagtí on the northeastern Plain of Kings and the main settlement of the North-Dagtíans, the ruling tribe of Mörkels in the kingdom , located at the northern bank of the upper Draapei River to the southeast.
It's one of the largest and most densely populated cities on the Plain of Kings, and serves both as a major trading hub and religious center in the region, centered on the Great Temple of Nexþei overlooking the city upon a kind of step-pyramid made of rammed earth. Nexþei, or Nexþú as she's known there, is the patron deity of the Dagtíans and associated with healing, rain and music, and the temple is dedicated to a triad consisting of her along with Elútar and Peiþena, personifications of the rivers Ellú and Draapei, respectively.
The temple complex is located near the center of Nexþúrot, with the royal palace nearby to the west on a low hill, and the area by the riverbank is used as a marketplace. The city is surrounded by low, thick wall made of rammed earth on three sides and entered through two gates, one to the west and another to the north; traditionally, the north gate -facing towards the coastal kingdom of Áhalía- is always left open as a symbol of the special relationship between the two countries.
Like many cities on the eastern Plain of Kings, Nexþúrot is home to a small but notable community of Ameders and their descendants hailing from the coastal city-states north of the plains.
