Alchemy

The 'safest' form of Magic, but it still carries risks. Follow the correct recipe and in the last stages of the mix you must focus your mind and open your soul to the process. Even non-manifesters have some degree of metaphysical presence and can engage in this.  
However, the alchemical brewing process opens you up to Soul Damage. The likelihood of this depends on the receipe in question, the quantity of what is being made, the mental/emotional state of the alchemist, and the alchemist's understanding of this metaphysical process. The more you do it, the more times you risk your very soul, but the more sucess you have, the less likely you are to have an incident.
Experienced alchemists are very well paid for their work, and also very rare.
