The Arany Rozsa Theater

One of the oldest establishments on Pleasure Row, the Arany Rozsa Theater, has been providing Pleasure Row with a vast diversity of performances, including operas, plays, ballet and other dance performances, fashion shows, and more. The original Theater is easily to spot amidst the cluster of colorful silk adorned and lantern lit buildings. It sports and older style of art with stylized depictions of famous scenes from Therarask mythology. The newer buildings feature more ornate motifs of swirling copper, bronze, and gold, carved Jungle flora and fauna, and statues and paintings of important figures in the history of Pleasure Row. The inside of the Theater is elegant and refined, but also colorful through its incorporations of tapestries, silks, and jungle flora. Various large statues feature famous actresses, actors, and other important figures to Therarask history… including the God of Pleasure themselves.

The entrance hall to the Theater is contained within the original Theater building and features many refurbished and newer statues, paintings, and other ornate architecture. Upon entry, Five stairwells – two on the left, two on the right, and one opposite the entrance – lead to various halls and theaters. The original theater, opposite of the entrance, has been converted to a ballroom for social galas and after parties for certain performances. The other stairwells lead to currently operational theaters of varying sizes that are almost always scheduled to have at least one performance a day. The Theater closes entirely on the 30th day of every month and for certain holidays.

Social Galas & Socialites

Social galas are an excellent way to meet some of the performers or to interact with some of the Theater Board, including Lady Amalia Vi’Har and Lord Isidore Tuz’Dayrin. The Theater hosts monthly balls to fundraise for their upcoming performances and to honor their donators and shareholders. Additional social events such as after parties and balls are held intermittently and allow some members of the general public to interact with performers and other socialites that call the Theater home.

The Rose System

Given the nature of Pleasure Row and the vast variety of entertainment offered, the theaters are organized along a Rose system:
  1. The White Rose – Purity and Innocence – performances here are always appropriate for everyone. They may include some very subtle hints or innuendos, but nothing that would be too overt.
  2. The Red Rose – Love and Romance – performances here are more appropriate for older audiences and often feature romances, dramas, and may touch upon slightly darker themes.
  3. The Black Rose – Death and Darkness – performances here are more appropriate for older audiences and often include tragedies and other performances featuring themes of death.
  4. The Orange Rose – Passion and Enthusiasm – performances here only occur in the later hours and are only appropriate for adults as they feature very adult-themed performances, nudity, and other explicit content.
