Timur
One of the most popular and skilled fencing instructors in the Northern Market area of the Heart of the Desert, Timur is Rani's father. Although his side of the family is heavily involved in the textile business, Timur no longer seems to be involved – though that doesn't mean he isn't going to get all of his textiles from anywhere else! Generally optimistic and boisterous, Timur is very open with his feelings and is often prone to gossip. Like many of the city's residents, he is very up-to-date on the scandals and going ons of the Royal Genasi families. He, unfortunately, has tried – and mostly failed – to pick up the current slang from Tatya and some of his other students. Still, that doesn't stop him from using it!
