Avalon
The Cradle of Civilization, Avalon is the holiest continent on the planet believed to be the place where the first mortals were given the test of Knowledge and Wisdom. The large island mountain in North Avalon, or the Northland as the locals call it, is still home to Avalon Castle and The King of Kings still resides over the city. Though since the Cataclysm the continent has divided, with the Northlands operates as a Federal Republic with 8 states acting as the main governing bodies. While the rest of the continent has basically become a scattering of fiefdoms, private city states, and protectorate states each with their own ideas on how Avalon should act now that the "king of kings" authority is all but gone.
