The Narloian Overview

Introduction: In the somewhat later days of men, during the reign of the Adriphite Empire, there was discovered a great rent in the ground, afterwards named the World Cleft. Above this huge abyss hung an island which did not touch or connect with the ground. For long years it was deemed a sacred and divine place, until one king decided to build a huge bridge up to the mystical island. The bridge took a hundred years to complete before the first man set his foot on the Isle of Light. There they built a city, which grew and flourished, trading with the High Elves and Groodians, and sprouting smaller cities all around it. However, this city eventually fell. On the night of the Blood Moon, the Isle was destroyed and fell down into the deep. The city was rebuilt on the Western side of the World Cleft, and a new bridge, which spanned the World Cleft, built on the foundation of the old.
Culture: The culture of Narloian cities are largely the same, although with a few exceptions. They are highly organized, efficient and loyal to the king, focusing most of their attention on trade and military strength. They are highly against all forms of corrupted magic, throwing anyone found guilty of using it into the dungeon to be further dealt with. The typical Narloian life is to be a trader or farmer, then when old enough join the White Army, becoming a soldier or guard, then in old age becoming a inn-keeper, military trainer, or other agrarian occupation.
