Rocks

Made up of Italian-descent teenagers and named after their traditional weapon, they often congregate around the Southside Gym , for the moment regarded by both gangs as neutral territory. Otherwise, this gang is generally found on the Lower Southside where most of them live. Once, this gang was the eyes and ears on the street for Joe Potrello and his criminal operations. It also served as a recruitment and training operation for Joe Potrello until Danny O'Bannion took over Arkham.

The Rocks hate the ‘Finns as Irish interlopers, ironically unaware that two distinct waves of Irish immigrants have passed through Arkham already, the first more than sixty years earlier, long before broad Italian immigration. They steal a little and cheat a little, but there’s not much to buy in Arkham and no fence will trust kids.

The Rocks meet in the afternoons, sauntering and swaggering as they go nowhere. Without this pathway to higher criminal career, most members of the gang eventually grow out of it, or must be satisfied with a life of petty crime like burglary or theft. However, if someone of particular talent comes along from the ranks of the Rocks, Danny O'Bannion will still give them a shot and so some Italians have found there way into Danny O'Bannion operations. He generally treats them well even though none have yet risen to high rank which makes it even more difficult for Joe Potrello if he wanted to rebuild his operations as most in the gang would rather work for Danny O'Bannion.

recruitment

Despite O'Bannion's Irish heritage and his backing by the Boston Irish mob, he will recruit talent where he finds it and some of the Italian Rocks members have found their way into his organization.

Rival gangs and bitter enemies.

The Irish Finns and the Italian Rocks gangs have been bitter rivals for generations. While they have agreed to some neutral ground like Art's Billiards you can expect a fight if the two groups come into contact with each other. These altercations seldom result in death but severe beatings are not uncommon or unheard of.
