GREATER GODS

There are nine major deities in the world.

Thor, god of lightning and war, god of lightning and war, who taught the people how to fight.

Hephaestus, god of crafting, god of crafting, who taught the people how to build homes and tools.

Diancecht, god of healing, god of healing, who taught the people how to heal injuries and cure diseases.

Silvanus, god of nature, god of nature, who taught the people how to work with nature rather than against it.

The Traveler, god of chaos Traveler, god of knowledge, who taught the people nothing and everything.

The Raven Queen, god of death Raven Queen, god of death, who taught the people how to prepare the dead so that they would not come back.

Vecna, god of secrets, god of knowledge, who taught the people secrets of power.

Morrigan, god of battle and fate, god of battle and fate, who taught the people how to defend others.

Tiamat, god of greed, god of greed, who taught the people how to prepare.

They first emerged 10 years after The Cataclysm and started putting an end to the chaos. They rescued the survivors and taught them how to build a civilization. This culminated nearly 80 years later with the founding of the first city, Abbas on the continent of Astras.

There is no hierarchy among the greater gods, despite Thor's insistence that he is the leader. There is a power difference though with Diancecht being the most powerful, followed closely by Thor and Silvanus. The weakest of the greater gods are Vecna and The Traveler, both of whom do not accept worship.
