Session 28: The Journey Begins

General Summary

• With The Sixth Platoon changed, and set to go back to Sharn, the Crypt Crew prepared for their journey northwestern.
• Each of the party members experienced a phenomenon the next morning, and were invigorated by their newfound abilities. Lord Cadman Turi provided the Crew with three sturdy horses and two carts for their journey. Bolstered by their new abilities and loads of fish rations, they set off, leaving the small town behind.
• Before long, they encountered a peculiar individual that seemed to be made of leaves. He popped into the first cart, asked if they were the good guys, and after Ashpin said that they were, he disappeared once again. Later in the day, he reappeared, and made some vaguely threatening statements, saying that the Material Plane took everything he loved from him, so he would do the same.
• That night, everyone cozied around the campfire, and Philip passed around the larkleaf. Everyone had a nice chat about their upcoming trip, all while Maleakos was having a trip of his own.
• Eventually, the Crypt Crew ran across quite a large storm. It became worse and worse, and eventually, the party sought shelter in the entrance of a nearby temple with a statue of Arawai, the Sovereign of Life and Love. They beat up a giant ape in order to enter.
• Inside, N'nchyk scared away a giant scorpion. They proceeded down the left hallway, where N'nchyk detected some dark magic ahead. So, they sent Thanos ahead, and as he encroached on the area, the coffin lids began to move.
