Session 45: Grundhelm's Return

General Summary

Mammoth Moment

• Philip and Ashpin exchanged a private word on the porch of The Crypt.
• Magrora had a conversation about the history of the Harbingers and how they felt indirectly responsible for The Mourning. N'nchyk, who has been surprisingly civil towards Magrora, pointed out how it can't really have been her fault. He still did express his misgivings with her organization, but Magrora insisted she and her family always did good, always did what they thought was right.
• Since Ashpin can barely read, Philip asked for the dragon book from the Wandering Tale. Ashpin, with some strange newfound power, floated the book over to Philip.
• Two mammoths then attacked. It was handled handily, with the moral support of Njord swinging off of their fur. The Crew managed to harvest 800 galifars worth of ivory from the tusks, and still had two left over to give The Crypt horns.
• Viribus helped N'nchyk husk the meat pieces in the basement for bionicle parts. It was one of the last things he'd ever do.

Viribus Fucking Dies

• That night, the winter storm was raging worse than ever. Everyone was huddled in the Crypt for warmth when Viribus heard a voice, twisted such than none other could understand it. Whatever the voice said, it was enough to make Viribus follow it into the wintery night, followed only by Dooturr.
• A Christmas duel ensued. The sickly green energy of Grundhelm (guys you don't know that I'm just lazy) contrasted with the scarlet red hue of Viribus, but the fight was unbalanced. Grundhelm was reborn to kill Viribus. And he accomplished his mission.
• The Crew was too late. Only Lumen and Dooturr were close enough to even give chase.
• Philip, Ashpin, and Maleakos hefted Viribus' body into the hut, and Maleakos immediately began the ritual necessary to use the Relic of Life or Destruction to restore Viribus to life.
