Iron Boar Inn

he Iron Boar Inn is a well-established establishment in Zarash'ak, situated on the opposite end of the market square from the Golden Dragon Inn. The building itself is a single-story wooden structure, painted in a deep red-brown hue that has faded over time. The roof is thatched with dry reeds, and the windows are small and few in number.   The interior of the Iron Boar Inn is cozy and dimly lit, with a large fireplace dominating one wall. The walls are adorned with tapestries depicting famous battles and ancient orc legends. The furnishings are all hand-carved from dark wood, and the floors are covered in woven mats.   The bar area is small but well-stocked with a variety of local brews and spirits. The bartender is a grizzled old orc, with a thick beard and scars marking his face. He is friendly enough, but quick to put down any rowdy behavior.   The rooms for rent are basic but clean, with straw mattresses and plain woolen blankets. There are communal bathhouses located at the back of the inn, where guests can take a soak in hot water.   The Iron Boar Inn prides itself on its hearty, traditional orcish fare. The kitchen is open to the main dining area, and the savory aromas of roasted meats and spicy stews waft through the air. The head cook is a tough old orc woman with a sharp tongue and a keen sense of flavor.
The owner of the inn is a gruff and hearty orc named Grimgor. He is a towering figure with broad shoulders and long, muscular arms that he uses to great effect when carrying barrels of ale or tossing unruly patrons out of the establishment. Despite his imposing size and rough exterior, Grimgor has a kind heart and a quick wit, always ready with a joke or a friendly jibe to put his customers at ease.   Grimgor's family has been running the inn for generations, and they take great pride in its upkeep and reputation. His wife, Grukka, is a fierce and no-nonsense orc who handles the finances and keeps the staff in line. Their children, a boisterous and rowdy bunch, help out around the inn in various capacities, from serving ale to washing dishes.   The inn itself is a large and rambling structure made of rough-hewn logs and thatch. Inside, the main hall is dimly lit by oil lamps and filled with rough wooden tables and benches. The walls are decorated with hunting trophies and the heads of various creatures native to the Shadow Marches. A large stone hearth dominates one wall, providing warmth on cold nights and a place for patrons to roast their own meals.   Despite the constant competition with the Golden Dragon Inn, Grimgor's establishment is beloved by the locals for its warm hospitality and hearty food and drink. Visitors to Zarash'ak would do well to stop in for a pint and a bite to eat at Grimgor's Inn.
